Whitetail deer are abundant on Cape Cod. Local deer have adapted well to the Cape’s neighborhoods and the small patches of woods in between houses and roads.<\/p>\n
On Cape Cod, the deer population is roughly 6 to 8 deer per square mile and in some parts of the Cape, its more like 8 to 12 deer per square mile. Most of the local whitetail deer live in areas where hunting is not allowed.<\/p>\n
