Coyotes reportedly surround vehicle at Herring Cove Beach
PROVINCETOWN – At least three coyotes reportedly surrounded a vehicle at Herring Cove Beach shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday evening. According to reports an occupant of the vehicle dropped a cellphone which the coyotes may have mistaken for food. Police responded to the call for help and the animals backed off some. When our camera arrived a short time later the coyotes were only a short distance down the beach and not afraid of our high beams.

Update: This incident was due to the fact that people are feeding the coyotes at the Cape Cod National Seashore.
